About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard a government corrections location in Manson, North Carolina. The officer conducts armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintains a visible security presence, monitors assigned areas and access points, and provides professional communication and customer service. The role follows site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The position pays $21.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Must submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Must participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access and verify authorization for individuals entering or leaving controlled areas in accordance with facility procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate facility personnel.
