About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location in Lutz, Florida, you will help safeguard clients and critical operations. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication. The role calls for integrity, reliability, and a people-first mindset while working with a collaborative team. The position is full-time and pays $20.20 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Thursday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Friday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and promptly communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
