Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Experience
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a shelter location in Atlanta, Georgia, you will help safeguard residents, visitors, staff, and the site. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. The role emphasizes professional communication, customer service, reliability, teamwork, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Requirements
- At least 5 years of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Any required licensing must comply with applicable state and local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor site access and visitor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
