About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail and mall location in Sherman Oaks, California. The officer will help safeguard clients and the public by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The posted schedule is Monday 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, Tuesday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Saturday 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Sunday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A guard card or license is preferred. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing requirements may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, required for this driving position and subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail center common areas, parking areas, exterior entrances, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and activity in assigned areas, and report policy violations, hazards, or suspicious circumstances to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
