About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in New York, NY. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. The role involves providing customer service and clear communication while responding to security concerns. The stated schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail café location, including entrances, dining areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
