About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Lawnside, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard the facility by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role involves professional communication with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.91 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, building perimeters, and other assigned locations.
Monitor facility access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site procedures.
