As a Security Officer Full Time Incident Reporting Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government-operated services by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with orderly entry, directions, and adherence to location requirements.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information for site leadership and appropriate personnel.
