About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Observer Security Officer in Dayton, New Jersey, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and support access control while providing customer service and clear communication to help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The posted schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badges.
Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and help verify that employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors follow entry and exit procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities according to company and site requirements.
