Security Officer - Afternoon Coverage
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for afternoon coverage at a retail and mall location in Phoenix, Arizona. The officer will help safeguard clients and maintain a welcoming environment by providing customer service, conducting foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring access points, observing and reporting concerns, and responding calmly to incidents. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.15 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and retail personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
- Report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
- Provide directions and assist with customer inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
- Work collaboratively with store personnel and emergency responders.
