About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a technology location in San Diego, California, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. You will conduct facility and perimeter patrols, monitor access points, help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service while supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, following site procedures and emergency protocols, and documenting and communicating relevant activity. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures.
Document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
