About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer to conduct patrols at a wholesale retail store in Riverhead, New York. The role provides an assigned site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and allows the officer to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may offer hours across multiple sites, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $18.00–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, members, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail sales floor, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe delivery, vendor, and employee activity in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
