About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Suffolk, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with personnel and visitors. The role supports a secure environment through routine observations, reporting, access monitoring, and customer service.

The position pays $21.01 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday from 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The role requires an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

• Possess an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site protocols to support controlled entry to areas that may contain sensitive business, billing, or defense-related information.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related observations.
