About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol inspection Security Officer for an assigned site in Garden City, New York. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The role is presented as a flexible way to supplement income, gain experience, or work toward a full-time career.

The schedule listed is Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Officers provide customer service, follow security procedures and site policies, respond to incidents, patrol the site and perimeter, monitor access points, and report observations and concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity according to site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
