About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an unarmed patrol role at an aerospace and defense location in San Diego, California. The position pays $24.61 per hour and has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The listed shift is Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. In addition to the fixed shift, employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident records.
• Follow post orders, communicate professionally with stakeholders, and escalate security concerns through established channels.
