About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for entry screening at a logistics and distribution location in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow employees to increase their hours up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $19.05 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include screening and recording entry, controlling vehicle and personnel access, responding to incidents, and patrolling designated areas.

Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where legally permitted, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials and delivery documentation; and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control the entry and exit of vehicles and personnel according to site procedures, directing arrivals to designated areas as needed.
• Respond calmly and resourcefully to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
