About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time flex Security Officer in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM. Pay is $19.48 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures in technology-focused office spaces. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents, and documenting activity. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify access credentials according to site policies; and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and following escalation procedures.
• Communicate clearly with occupants and guests, report maintenance or security-related concerns, and complete required daily activity reports.
