About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Allen, Texas. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. The role also involves responding to incidents and alarms, documenting activities, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. The stated pay rate is $18.75 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, credential verification, and access-control procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
