About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across industries including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role offers hands-on experience at a variety of sites and the opportunity to build a foundation for career advancement within the security industry.

The position provides 30–40 hours of work per week. Schedules vary week to week and consist of manager-assigned shifts and shifts selected through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The position is based in Fresno, California, and pays $20.82 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badges.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
