About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients while providing a welcoming, professional presence at a busy location. You will support access control, visitor reception, and clear communication, help maintain an orderly environment by observing activity and responding to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role includes a Saturday and Sunday overnight schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor front-desk access, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials, and maintain visitor records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
