About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Somerset, New Jersey, in a financial institution environment. The position offers a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform and can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, monitoring access, patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and preparing reports.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Applicable licensing requirements may need to be met before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a financial institution.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and help maintain an orderly flow of employees, guests, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, access points, and perimeter locations, and document observations and unusual activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports about incidents, patrols, access activity, and other security-related matters.
