Security Officer Part Time Badge Services
About The Position
As a part-time Security Officer with Allied Universal in Parsippany, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a hospitality location. You will monitor and patrol the property, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, respond to concerns, communicate professionally with guests and staff, and use technology to document activity. The team values integrity, reliability, innovation, and exceptional customer service. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The position includes paid training and access to career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions in accordance with site procedures.
