About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Badge Management in Indianola, Mississippi, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location. You will manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests, and support routine security procedures while providing customer service. The role offers flexibility through the Claim a Shift platform. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain visitor and contractor entry records.
Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the distribution location, support orderly inbound and outbound traffic flow, and help deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, the business, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
