Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, process visitors according to site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
