About The Position

Securitas is hiring Security Officers and hosting an in-person hiring event with walk-ins welcome. Candidates should bring a physical copy of an updated resume and wear business casual attire. The event is at 17930 International Blvd, Suite 550, SeaTac, WA 98118, on Thursday, November 5th. The listed wage is $19.00–$26.00 per hour. Security Officers help safeguard clients’ guests, property, and information. The role involves responding calmly to urgent or high-pressure situations, resolving conflicts, securing entrances and exits, patrolling client premises, and identifying and reporting safety concerns or suspicious activity. Securitas provides training and development tools for employees.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED, or ability to complete a GED program within 6 months.
Standard computer and technology skills.
Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Ability to conduct patrols throughout a shift.
Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout a shift.
Willingness to participate in Securitas’ pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain composure during urgent or high-pressure situations involving authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public.
Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Secure entrances and exits.
Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols of client premises in various weather conditions.
Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
Protect evidence or the scene of an incident during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
Set up barriers and signage and provide direction or information to others.
Carry out other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
