As a Security Officer Patrol Credential Verifier in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and program participants by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies within a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and/or contacting appropriate site personnel or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify authorized access, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and support emergency response activities according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
