As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Coverage in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location serving the community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and support staff and visitors with professional communication and service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location serving individuals in need of housing support.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site leadership and/or public agency contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and document security-related observations, incidents, and/or policy violations.
  • Support orderly operations by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions and information, and communicating professionally with staff, visitors, residents, and/or first responders.
