About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer for a retail location in Roanoke, Virginia. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service and communication. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal’s driver policy. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and activity in assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly according to site-specific requirements.
