Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a driving patrol post at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Bordentown, New Jersey. The unarmed officer conducts routine and random patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and responds professionally to security concerns. The role requires a valid driver’s license and involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity. The stated pay rate is $19.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts.
