About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to support a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Livonia, Michigan. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role emphasizes customer service and a team-oriented culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The position pays $17.43 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents, access concerns, package or vehicle irregularities, and critical situations; follow established reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building entrances, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access points and check credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors according to site-specific requirements.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations in clear, timely reports, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
