About The Position

As a Security Officer in Nederland, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location. This driving position supports a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while working with integrity and reliability as part of a team. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

The role is full-time and pays $16.53 per hour. The listed schedule is 9:00 PM–5:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a chemical and petrochemical location, verifying credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor access requirements.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor badges or passes, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
