Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Fire Watch
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in Charlotte, North Carolina. The officer will safeguard tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access procedures, providing customer service, and reporting security-related concerns. The position is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $17.85 per hour. Officers respond professionally to incidents and critical situations, follow site-specific policies and reporting procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications. The role may involve routine and random foot or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Undergo drug screening as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required before employment.
- Hold a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor and vendor activity, and support authorized entry procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.
- Maintain a professional presence throughout the property.
