About The Position

Walden Security is hiring a part-time weekend Security Officer to protect a commercial or industrial property in downtown Knoxville. The role involves conducting foot patrols and rounds in a large, air-conditioned and heated building, including walking halls and climbing stairs. The officer must be comfortable working independently and protecting client property against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. The scheduled hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The employee must obtain an unarmed security license for the State of Tennessee; a staff trainer will assist with the process. Pay is $16.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Must obtain an unarmed security license for the State of Tennessee.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot patrols and rounds in the building.
Protect client property against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry.
