About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed patrol officer for a commercial real estate location in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will conduct routine building and perimeter patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. The role includes providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security concerns. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.60 per hour. The position provides access to a shift-claiming platform, paid training, career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and a discounts program.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, entrances, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures; report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
