About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage production location in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role provides customer service and performs site-specific access control, monitoring, patrol, documentation, and appropriate emergency response activities. The position has an assigned site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed. The stated pay rate is $17.86 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, contractor documentation, and delivery appointments in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle gates, employee entrances, and visitor areas; document access activity, irregularities, and incidents according to established procedures.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, the exterior perimeter, and designated facility areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
