As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Screening in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government courthouse location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and court personnel. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. Requirements

  • Have at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings at designated entry points using screening equipment and established protocols, reporting prohibited items or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful presence while providing directions, answering general questions, and helping manage orderly access to government facility areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Document screening-related activities, incidents, and unusual observations according to site procedures.
