As a Security Officer - Mornings in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team and acting with integrity throughout each shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or contractor entry as directed by site policies, and communicate with site personnel regarding security-related concerns.
• Support a clean, professional presence at a food and beverage location while maintaining awareness of operational activity and/or potential hazards that may require a response.
