As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Locust Grove, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a hotel and resort location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for guests, residents, and staff. You will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and amenity access points to help regulate authorized entry, verify credentials, and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, and perimeter to help identify potential issues, document observations, and support access control operations.
  • Communicate with site contacts, vendors, and visitors regarding check-in procedures, delivery access, and/or temporary entry permissions while maintaining professional service standards.
