The Security Officer supports Scripps Health by providing a reasonably safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and property. The officer acts as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and actively patrols assigned areas, ensuring policies and procedures are carried out and reporting non-compliance. They respond to emergency situations and, when appropriate, provide guidance for safe management, communicating with leadership as necessary. Work is accomplished under the direction of security leadership and requires a work style that reflects the mission, vision, and values of Scripps Health.

Requirements

• CA Driver's License
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional
• CA BSIS CA Security Guard

Nice To Haves

• POST PC 832 Laws of Arrest
• 1 year security, law enforcement, military, or related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
