About The Position
The Security Officer supports Scripps Health by providing a reasonably safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and property. This role acts as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and involves actively patrolling assigned areas. The officer ensures policies and procedures are followed, reports non-compliance, and responds to emergency situations, offering guidance for safe management and communicating with leadership as needed. The work is performed under the direction of security leadership and requires a work style that aligns with Scripps Health's mission, vision, and values. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position for varied shifts located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
Requirements
- CA Driver's License
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional
- CA BSIS CA Security Guard
Nice To Haves
- POST PC 832 Laws of Arrest
- 1 year security, law enforcement, military, or related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
