About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Screener in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, screen people and/or property, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and security-related policies for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures, and report irregularities to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate clearly with supervisors, drivers, warehouse personnel, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document screening activity, incidents, and/or policy violations in required logs and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, noting unusual conditions, operational concerns, and/or security-related issues.
