Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
• Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and hand-carried items at designated entry points using approved screening equipment and established protocols.
• Verify identification, travel documents, and access credentials while directing individuals through screening areas in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, adjacent operational spaces, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
