Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or access points in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures, helping to identify prohibited items or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate documentation and/or communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, entry areas, screening stations, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor the flow of people and deliveries through designated checkpoints, assist with access control procedures, and help to deter unauthorized entry or policy violations.
