As a Security Officer X Ray Screener in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related screening operations, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols while remaining visible to help deter incidents. This role calls for strong customer service and clear communication as you assist employees, visitors, and deliveries. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with post instructions and report unusual findings or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating security-related information to the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted operational areas, docks, and/or screening checkpoints.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions across warehouse, trailer, and shipping and receiving areas.
