About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Officer in Austell, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and perform routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

Requirements

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen people, packages, and/or personal items at designated entry points using approved security-related procedures and report irregularities in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Monitor access areas, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited items, and/or policy violations while maintaining professional interactions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter, with duties and conditions varying by location.
