About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk Driver in Gahanna, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific policies, verifying access at the front desk, and supporting security-related procedures for a utilities location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, visitor logs, identification, and credentialing processes to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response communication and documenting events as required.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions, manage sign-in and sign-out procedures, and support the coordination of deliveries, guests, and/or vendors entering the location.
  • Complete routine reports and front desk records, maintain awareness of site conditions, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns.
