About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk Specialist in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will greet visitors, manage access activity, monitor the entrance area, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities for a technology-focused location.
  • Greet visitors, verify identification and/or access credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help direct employees, guests, and vendors in accordance with site protocols.
  • Monitor lobby activity, phones, alarms, and/or cameras from the front desk and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support access control functions by issuing badges or temporary credentials, documenting arrivals and departures, and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
  • Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or first responders as needed to help address concerns, escalate issues, and maintain orderly front desk operations.
