About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Management in New Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence at a housing location, assisting residents, visitors, and staff while monitoring access and reporting security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems to support daily operations, help maintain a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and maintain awareness of activity at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
