About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Management in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will be a welcoming presence, support access control and visitor management, monitor security-related systems, and respond to alarms or concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front-desk policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Welcome and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate departments within the healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the facility through the front desk, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency resources as needed.
  • Answer and route calls, provide general information and directions, and maintain clear communication with facility staff and Allied Universal leadership.
