As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, public personnel, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, report suspicious activity, and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with site protocols.
• Support orderly operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and helping to address security-related concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
