Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or public agency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related events, incidents, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Support traffic and pedestrian flow, assist with directions and general questions, and communicate professionally with the public while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
